Bad Patcher

The following is a sample text from the error text document in my FlyFF folder after the game crashed:

2009/ 9/25 20:07:25 string error: IDS_PROPMOVER_TXT_CAALI_000000

All right, allow me to run through what I have done in the installation of Fly for Hero.

1. Visited eFlyFF site and downloaded their installer.

2. Used the said installer to download the client.

3. Once the download was complete, the client was installed onto the laptop.

4. Visited Fly for Hero site and downloaded the patcher.

5. Extracted the contents (server patch files) into the FlyFF folder.

6. Deleted flyff.a file from the folder.

7. Loaded the Fly for Hero patcher and allowed it to patch itself.

8. Started the game.

I have repeated steps "1" through "8" three times, but to no avail. Apparently, I am not the only one with this issue. Information in light of this situation is appreciated.

Note : This may not be the cause for your crashing. Just to share with others that may have this problem.

Make sure that only one "data dataSub1 dataSub2".res files are in your main FlyFH folder.
Renaming these files won't work. Either create a new folder and put the similar files in or
delete them altogether.

Another cause for crashes is the presence of FlyFF.a .
Which doesn't apply to both of you.

Ok, the patcher is patching the wrong set of .res files which are data.res , dataSub1.res , dataSub2.res .

When the server changed files [To the beta stage] I updated the patcher with the new set of .res files, but now were back to the old files people with the new items are crashing because its not in the .res files..

Im scanning through my computer looking for our old .res files but no luck yet.. If anyone has the old set of .res files posting them would help us alot.

Another error by me.

My client isn't crashing so I guess I have the right files.
(Thats what happens when you make a separate folder for the beta files ;P)

someone will have to test them and tell me if they work.

Added: I used the files provided by Hades, but to no avail. I'll re-download the client AND then replace the .res files with Hades's .res files. I hope it'll work then.

Added: Tea and crumpets... nope, that did not work either. It's all right though, I can wait. Cheers!

kk, did some testing.
I installed a clean folder, updated it with the official, deleted flyff.a, then used ffh patcher.
THEN, I went back and replaced the 3 res files with the ones I uploaded.
THEN, I created a shortcut to the neuz.exe (sunkist method) and started the game, no crashes.
AVOID THE PATCHER, its the thing thats corrupting the res files.
If you start the game with the patcher, it will cause your game to crash.

1.Install FLYFF
2. Update it with the offical FlyFF patcher.
3. Delete Flyff.a
4. Update it with FlyForHero's Patcher
5. Extract the files I uploaded.
6. Create a shortcut to neuz.exe and add sunkist to the target path
7. Run the game from the shortcut from now on until the patcher is fixed.

The patcher doesn't work at the moment (as stated by Dex). Here's how to play Fly for Hero.

Follow these steps:

1.Install FLYFF
2. Update it with the offical FlyFF patcher.
3. Delete Flyff.a
4. Update it with FlyForHero's Patcher
5. Extract the files I uploaded.
6. Create a shortcut to neuz.exe and add sunkist to the target path
7. Run the game from the shortcut from now on until the patcher is fixed.
