he was kinda right. The umbilicus should be lower and the cartilage that sits on the ribs above the rectus abdominis is missing or too short.
BTW, the Vas Deferens must be pretty long inside him since his torso was elongated. I'm going to guess hes sterile XD or he has to work at it pretty hard, if you know what i mean X). The crotch should have started right above his belt (i'm making this judgement based on the length of his torso). So either hes a bit deformed down there, or hes.. well.. a bit shy. XD
I'm just teasing. My art teacher did it a lot to me, but it made me better (so she could stop complaining) Did you use a reference for this?

Now, i normally skip the head length rule because most people don't pay attention to that sort of thing, usually, but one of my art teachers told me a good quote: "You can't break the rules unless you know them"
The human body is amazingly symmetrical. also, i know you're scrapping this, but doesn't mean you can't learn from it
