Well Fly for Hero has a strict policy regarding lost items:

They will not be restored upon request because of fraud issues and false claims. This rule applies to EVERYONE.

UNLESS you have DONATED for an item, that will be restored.

Please note that ALL items (including donated ones) will not be restored on the PK server.

How do you avoid all this hullaballoo? Store your precious items in the bank on the normal server. They will be safe there, EVEN on the PK server. As well, whenever there is a d/c, DO NOT log in immediately. Wait it out for awhile before attempting to log in again. Furthermore, when you're on the character selection screen, if any character is naked... DO NOT log in. Chances are that you will also experience an inventory wipe.
