I think that maybe if they had all the special vendors in all the cities such as Saint Morning, Darkon 1, Darkon 2, Darkon 3, it would free up the server from the lagg. Since everyone would not have to be in Flaris to do this which i believe is causing all the lag. happy

Hello everybody!
Here are some suggestions to reduce the server LAG too...

-> Reduce the time that the items are on the ground ... is very long wacko

-> Soften the Glows can also be nice ... but it must be difficult :X

Hugs o/

Softening the glow won't do anything.
And the items on the ground doesn't affect lag lolz

Sirlore, people being in one area causes your graphics card to lag, but not the server. The amont of people online, however, is the cause of the lag. It's weird to say this, but the popularity of the server is its downfall as well.

[iLuvsTommy]Kairi, In fact, items on the ground does cause lag.
When ever i host events, if there are too many items on the ground, i have to wait for people to pick them up or I clear them. But they are not too big of a problem.

Yeah , but how does it cause the server to lag?
Like the encodement being there?
The item being there?
How does that cause it to lag?

OK...
More itens in the ground is more information to the server...like the number of players online...

Changing the place of NPC's and the Glows don't reduce lag, but reduce the Disconnect sometimes...i think :x

GodHades-> Much players in ONE map can lag the "World Server", or no?
I am not an expert ... but it can be possible, right?:)

The dC only happens if a server shuts down.

No. A Server Crash is where the dedicated overloads with ip's accessing its files.
A World Server/Login/Character Server goes down, it logs you out.
And it has a server restarter.

well...i see that in other flyff forum :P
Some players see the "Crash" as a Disconnect...
I, for example...^^
so, change NPC's and glows can be nice to reduce the crash sometimes...right?:X

I don't think so, the added Glow would be there anyways, just overwriten, its a browser based thing really. just a thing you see in your browser, not accualy in the server.
Just EVERYONE has it.
So it looks like everyone is Glkowing a different color.
And NPC's stay the same, it'd take ages to encode differently.

I guess to much "account" is one causing the lag thing in server...i suggest to remove or deactivate accounts that are no longer being use for more than 2-3 months...or put some reminders or warning to those accounts... wink

(its Just my own suggestion but its still up to the GM staff if they will agree.. biggrin )

Deleting inactive accounts will not clear the lag. Again, lag is generated by the amount of people online.
More People = More Lag
This is why Dex shuts down the register page sometimes.
